  1. I like to fish a worm slooooowly. After the cast grasp the line between your thumb and forefinger. Holding the rod still slowly move your hand back and forth. It's called stitching or mending your line. Reel in your slack, then began again. I do this with both a Texas rig and split shot rig. I tried to teach this to others but none have the patience for it.

  4. I rarely even reel when I'm flipping- only when I'm pitching. (I use these terms for their specific style though, and I never use them interchangeably).
