What Happened to the Bass? Why Don’t the Bass Want a Swimbait Now?

What happened to the bass around here? Why don’t they want a swimbait now? I was catching some nice bass on the Keitech Swimbait, so I thought I would try it again. I fished it at two different locations, but the action isn’t like it was the day before. I caught a three pounder and a few other nice bass just a day ago! So why won’t they go for it today? I did manage to catch one single bass at the second spot I tried, so its not a total skunk. I am not sure what happened. The weather has been warm, the water level is good, it seems like similar conditions. Why don’t the bass want the swimbait anymore? I don’t know. #realistic #fishing

  1. Tough outing. Great tip about not trying the same bait and or technique. But always try to have fun and learn something.
Thanks Alex for Keeping It Realistic. Mike

  2. Sup Alex, did get a bass. I've been wondering same thing my whole life lol. Huge difference in 24 hours.. it's why I fear changing up lures.. learning from you I do switch up now. It's frustrating. Tyvm tc 🎣

  3. Out here in New Hill, NC this has got to be one of the worst seasons so far for bass fishing, either on the boat or fishing from the bank,,,,,, depressing!

  4. I like the look of the first lake, don't see you there very often. I normally carry a few different options based on your previous videos. Thanks for the video Alex.

  5. I know what you’re going through. Bass fishing is tough in my area right now too. Maybe my luck will change when I go to Florida in a couple of weeks. I caught my PB in FL back in March on a chatterbait. And I agree with you about not being stuck on one lure. That’s why I always take three or four rods with me with a different lure on each one! Thanks for another great video! Keep on keeping it realistic!

  6. True words! Alex Have heard it called 'fishing a memory'. when you use the same thing over and over becuase it worked great one time. Thanks for the reminder to change it up and be realisitc!.
