Guess I should have said you should have leaned on that jig more.
I know that cove and my suggestion is you should have pulled out a jig. Haven't fished that lake in years but these mud holes don't change that much. Good luck next time out.

Our lakes are down 12-13 ft. Water temps low 60s. The 3X9 tournament guys caught 2-9+ lb. Can't wait to get out. Blue bird low 80s highs. Front with winds 25+

I’m in Illinois and my last 4 fishing trips to my local lakes and ponds have been skunk fests. Hopefully the water warms up a little in the next couple of weeks

Next time you strike out in these conditions, try a strike king 1.0 in your preferred color, not the one that rattles. Contrary to popular belief in muddy conditions, silent cranks consistently out perform for me. But you have to be grinding rock.
What kind of baitcaster reel covers were those in the thumbnail? Are they easy to put on one handed?
I’m happy to head they made the arsonist color in more stuff. Maybe the covert finesse series will get that color too! This spring I’m going to try and focus on the core tackle hover rig.

It's been tough alot of days right now swim jigs been working better than jerkbait or spinner bait , underspin for me.
Great video! I actually went out for the first time this year in my kayak up here in Northern Connecticut the water is cold but the bass are moving up slowly to the shallow and got my first bass it feels good.
I was at the pond today. Caught 5 bass, nothing huge all on drop shot 🎣

I feel your pain !! I took the yak out guy or the first time this season Sunday . Weather was perfect . Skunked !! Lol I saw Bass and plenty of baitfish around but they wouldn’t hit anything

That water is so muddy. You'd have drop a lure on a bass's head for them to bite. I'm sure you'll find those bass the next time on the water. The bass are probably still deep. They haven't got the spring is here memo yet.

It was extremely windy today in ohio, and it was also a chilly 46-ish degrees .
Went to my small local lake, started with a spinnerbait. Switched to a red lipless and was able to get a bite.
Yo yo retrieve through the grass , landed a decent one right before the wind picked up.
