Bass of this size rarely come without sacrifice. With this monster the sacrifice came at the hand of a fellow angler. This MONSTER bass was hooked on a swimbait earlier in the day by a good friend but she came to the surface and jumped free! Once he was sure he wouldn’t get another opportunity to catch her he shared the location with us so we could bring you this epic underwater footage!

We didn’t catch this fish, in fact we didn’t even know she was there until Tim got home and went back through the footage. Tim did catch the male and it weighed 4.3 lbs. Keep that size in mind when you see the little male next to that GIANT bass! A bass of this size deserves to be honored and if you’re a bass fisherman with a pulse, this is a video worth watching! A true teener in her natural habitat… amazing!

    1. Say you got the footage and went back idk, 2 days later. I assume it was prespawn conditions from what's narratorated, what's the odds of her still being there and actually getting her hooked up?
    2. Do their eyes bulge more and more the bigger or fatter they get?

  3. ….fuuuuuuuu……. dude caught a 3.5lb bass a few days ago locally and that's decent up here. state record is around 13lbs…..so, nobody here uses more than 10lb test unless they are delusional. seeing a fish like that….wow!

dont get me wrong: ive been salmon and halibut fishing and have seen large fish, so im not experienced….but wow, what a gorgeous specimen!!!

  4. The biggest bass I saw this year was at lake Sonoma. April 14th because I filmed her swimming on the surface with some carp. She was over 12lbs. I've cought a 10+ So I know. I tried 3 different rigs and she board on a giant Lizard only to come back up tongue surface. She was beautiful.
