  1. One thing I have done to help me with my 12' + crankbaits is throw a 5:3 reel and do exactly what you were saying slow down feel your way through the cover has increased my catch rate while reducing snags. And the right parabolic rod is critical to crankbaits and top waters. If I using treble hooks its on a parabolic rod med.hvy moderate 90% of the time

  2. I gotta improve my spoonbill game. I can catch with squarebills, lipless, and jerkbaits just fine but for some reason spoonbills just don't do it for me. Maybe some time using nothing but spoonbills is in order. 🤔

  3. One of my small local fisheries that I catch bunch of huge bass in. I have just recently found out that it has golden shiners. I've been fishing there sense we moved about 2 yrs ago. I knew it had bluegill, crappie, yellow perch, warmouth. & I thought shad. I was wrong their golden shiners… Any ideas how to target those bigger bass feeding on the big 7-10" shiners? I've already been fishing big glides & soft swimbaits. ??

  4. I love crankbait fishing Steve. Its my favorite technique. Your are so right about changing the wobble when you are not getting bit. I switch it up and it usually produces for me. Great video. I hope you are well.

  5. My fish are in the deep but seem to be moving not really setting up on anything in particular. At least I haven't dialed in the bite so to speak. Found one 7# on a bomber bd8 that runs 17 to 19 ft last weekend. Can't wait to do more research

  6. I still get a little nervous every time I bring one of my billed crankbaits through some slop. But it's a lot like pitching your favorite jig deep into flooded brush: you have to go where the fish are and present your bait in a way that they'll respond to.
