I’m pitching and flipping jigs in a southern Oklahoma watershed lake. I lived here for 10 years so I know the ropes! 1/2 once Metlock jigs with the Yamamoto cowboy trailer really does the job on 3-5 pound bass in the heavy timber! I’m a power fisherman so this is really my cup of tea!

Jimmy Houston’s lake is just beautiful and has lots of big fish in it!
I am in awe of your pitching skills , mostly the entry without splash. Live long and prosper.
That was hilarious, “Gary comes up with these weird names”
My favorite angler. Unscripted. Doesn’t try to sell you shit, tells the truth. And seems like a good man. Hope you’re doing well Mr.Martin
Yah son, get em.
At 4:40 was that a fart?

Good catch brother
My favorite kind of fishing. Keep updating. Be safe.
Nice catches there Roland! Can you do a video about your go to lures for Fall fishing. I've been throwing everything in my tackle bag at them and I can't seem to catch a break or a fish.😆 Thx
Lmao, this ain't no mickey mouse stuff ! You need to make a t shirt out of that I will own one love it roland
Jimmy Houston eat your heart out I think you need him to clean your boat next time you guys fish
Hope you video you and your wife fishing tried to get my wife to fish can't get it done.
Great vid This week. Please keep em coming. Nice to know the difference between pitching and flipping.
Mr. Roland I love watching you and Mr. Jimmy fishing together, both of you two guys and Bill Dance carry me back to Saturday morning sitting with my Daddy watching the best fishermen to me in the world. Thank you and !!!!! GOD Bless all 3 of you and GOD Bless you Mr. Roland for this video !!!!! James and Judy Hopper
Good stuff Martin I use many of your tips for my saltwater inshore fishing. Including the pitching and flipping technique
Great video. Thanks for the lesson Roland.
Such a great ambassador to the sport, thank you sir for the uploads! #goat
Do yourself a favor everyone….learn to pitch and flip while holding your rod in your left hand….it may seem trivial but if you pitch and flip for hours think of how many times you will move your rod from hand to hand….500? 700 times? I'm constantly amazed that Pro Angles do this despite spending a bazillion hours on tackle, electronics, rods, reels….etc
Yeah buddy you are the man, you dont miss a beat, some quality fish my friend, I would love to fish with you one day. I'm taking my vacation this summer and coming dont to Florida to marina to fish that Marsalis lake .
Was an honor and a privilege to met and talk with you today…:yes I finally tracked him down. Hahahah. I have looked up to you as a fisherman my whole life. Met one of my hero’s today. Hell yes. Made up for the slow fishing. Keep on Fishing. And I got to listen to Mr Martin tell some fishing stories. I say it again. Hell yes
Great video 👍👍.
Their is definetly an art to Flipping and Pitching, something to get use to!
Great video Rolan.
"This is power fishing, not that Mickey mouse stuff" lmao hilarious!!! You're awesome Mr Roland!
Thank you Roland, I always have trouble pitching & flipping. I'm sure your tips will help me out.
Looks like I need to be more bold in submerged cover.
Thanks for the lesson! It is interesting to see the color variation of the fish in the same body of water.
Roland I tried to find the “208” jig you spoke of. Can you clarify what jig it is? I want to thank you for helping me catch monster bass.
I'm so impressed with Roland. At age 80, he has so much energy. I'll continue to watch as long as you keep fishing Roland.
Dang Roland your my idol. That was some nice catch. Thanks for the explanation between pitch and flip.
thank you so much Roland!!!!
@Oklahoma’sworstangler
Man, Roland has been my hero for 40 years…appreciate the enjoyment you share every day.
Thanks for the tips
Roland is awesome!
There aren't any crayfish in my lake and crawdad jig trailers don't get many bites, but a simple 4" to 6" Yum Dinger jig trailer works great and catches big bass. Black/Blue and Elder's Magic colors seem to work best for me. Roland's line watching tip yielded my PB. Was fishing a jig and the line twitched sideways.
I can't wait to flip and pitch on friday thanks teach
Thanks for info & videos!
I don't care what anyone says, you sir are THE MAN!!!
Guy, gals no better than this. Great action and great tutorial on pitching and flipping jigs! Great fisherman, I've noticed and been envious of the balance this man has and of course Scott too. I've seen Scott fish off the outboard motor and way up on the trolling motor mount. Roland is older , yet still stands and balances himself well while also working the trolling motor. Guys like me have to sit down or at minimum back up against the butt seat. Thanks again Roland, another great one!!!
Mr Roland can you get away with using 40 or 50 lb braid when flipping and pitching in timber?
Great video. Love to pitch and flip!!
Thanks Roland!
Whatever the hell the things is. LMAO! Next time I'm in probass I'm telling them that's what Martin called it.
You have the funniest dry sense of humour .
This the Houston sted
Mr. Martin still going strong. No better example of doing what you love being the key to a long and happy life.
love watching you fish Roland , the behind views are like watching over your shoulder, but is there a way you can wear a wireless mic . coz i learn more when i listen . thanks for the years i still have the helicopter in the pack..
Are you still up there visiting Jimmy Houston's beautiful place? Just watched his reluctant Milburn take the walk outside of the fence. Jimmy, you and Scott are my favorite folks to watch.
God Bless all of you.
people dont think much about the ecological base or that other species can be apart of daily catch or the role they own ;what or where they exist. this video wass more educational than some others COOL. the base make up of any ecosystem is so important to all and makes better fishermen… how did the tournament go?
I don’t think I have ever caught a ugly bass they have all been cute or they’ve been Pretty👍👍
