Sabine Bass Fishing

#mickey and I are back out on the #sabine #river system exploring some new water.

We launched at cow bayou in Bridge City and went into the Louisian marsh from there.

Conditions were pretty tough. The day before I filmed it rained 5 inches and the temperature dropped from 70 degrees to the upper 40s that morning. It was definitely a chilly start to the day!

Anyways our top baits in this video were a weightless fluke, Ned rig, Texas rig worms and a strike king popping perch. The #poppingperch caught the Sabine #pb bass.

My best 5 bass went 8lbs and 2oz LOL! All largemouth bass were released at the boat ramp for you to #catch and #enjoy

  1. Thanks for your response Brother Lance, I’m old and Louisiana and Texas have a reciprocal agreement on senior fishing licenses so i can fish in Texas with my Louisiana senior fishing license. Especially nice to fish Sam Rayburn. Anyway I’m in agreement with you on fishing in Sabine river from Toledo to Sabine pass.  I’m still not sure about when I’m in Texas way up in Adams or Cow bayou. The Texas game warden guy read me the riot act about if I was in Texas I better have Texas limit fish.
I especially like how you evangelize a little on your videos. Not overpowering just inviting. 😊🙏
Have you watched The Chosen? One of my favorites.  Thanks so much, keep sharing those videos!

  2. Great video! Thanks for sharing. A little difficult to hear though. I’m from Lake Charles and normally fish Sabine out of Burn out bridge. Occasionally launch in Orange. Better launch, better parking. Just a small question about limits when I’m fishing in Texas. 12” eight fish in River. My question is when I fish in Texas. Cow bayou, Adams bayou or back in cuts by Bluebird.
Thought those were Texas waters 14” five fish. Thanks!
