The Strike King Wake Shad (Not the King Shad) was a fish catching machine. Problem was the joint had plastic pins that broke and were unrepairable.
These Fishlabs have steel pins so much better. I tried the Fishlabs 4" Gill Wake and it is a POS. Won't run well at all.

I fish a lot of big wakes and build my own. I built a rat that’s just hard not to fish with. Not because I made it, but it’s the best wake bait I’ve ever fished with and I put it up there and above the G2 Shellcracker, Spro rat and some custom baits I own.
