I caught one like that yesterday on a kvd 1.5 black/chartreuse squarebill. Same kinda fight. That was my third eight pounder. Been along time though in between those bites. Those happened over thirty years ago, like two weeks apart. I have the first one mounted. Put the other two back to catch again. Amazing!
