In this video we fished the 5th leg of the A4A team tournament trail.
We had planned to prefish this venue but unfortunately, we had some setbacks with our boat and weren’t able to make it out for some practice.
The morning was cold and the afternoon was windy… Not ideal for the bass to be biting. However, I had my personal best day at Bronkies. The fish seemed to be biting along the banks until the bite switched off at about 10:00 and only picked up again at around 14:00.
We made the call to start deep and move shallow as the water warmed up… it seems this was the wrong call as most teams got back before 10:00 along the margins.
It was a tough day out on the water, weighed in at 3.54Kg, placed 31st out of 42 boats. That being said, we weren’t too disappointed with the result as we did learn a lot on the water.
We are looking forward to the next leg at Vygeboom, hopefully we smash it there!
