Great to see my old fishing spot. I used to live in Anthony KS which is 30 miles north. Salt Plains is a great channel catfish fishery in the main lake. It's about you'll catch unless you fish the spillway. There's lotsa sand bass and wipers as well as a few saugeye. At least it was when I lived there. Use a pair of white jigs for the spillway and cut shad for cats in the lake. Also for crystals you should splash the sides till you expose some nice clusters. Good ones can as big as your fist with 20 or more growing together. They're lovely but really fragile until they dry.
