  1. Hey Tacticalbassin, a travel rod breakdown and recommendation video to supplement this great information would be incredible. Thank you guys, so much, for the many years of help and advice!

  2. High Matt, hope the flooding didn't affect you both. Will you be doing a new line video to pair with this video? Like to hear what you're using now. Thanks Paul

  3. I'm a simple man. Run a simple set up. 😂

Spinning: 6'10" medium, 7' medium, 7'1" medium, 6'7" medium, 6'7" medium heavy, 7'6" medium light
Baitcasters: 7' medium heavy, 7'4" heavy, 7'3" medium heavy, 7'3" moderate (cranking)

Can't fit anymore rods in the rod locker. So next is a bigger boat with more storage 😂

  4. lol, Matt your such a fishing geek, I love it. I live in Ca 30 minutes from the delta. I’ve discovered I’m a power fisherman. I have to stay busy and a jig is usually the slowest I fish. I’ve been interested in BFS but I’m worried about getting spooled. Thx for what you guys do, even though some of the combos are way out of reach of a lot of us. Glad you have budget options. I’d like to see a video on the kastking items beings it seems they’re getting into more quality items.

  5. I’m new to fishing as a whole. Would your recommendation “st. Croix black bass” also work for some ultralight fishing? I want a rod for ultralight but also can catch bass. PS. Love the content!!

  6. Great video, thank you. Just a suggestion, but lure ranges would be very helpful. “Medium” and “Medium Heavy” vary quite a bit between manufacturers (e.g., Loomis vs Shimano vs St-Croix). Does Medium go down to 1/4 oz or 1/8 oz or 3/16 oz??? And it varies between spinning and baitcasting.

Any rod rated 1/4 oz to 3/4 oz can cover 90% of the most popular lures out there. A weightless senko weighs roughly 3/8 oz.

Then it becomes more personal preference based on technique for taper and length.

  7. AWESOME, AWESOME video!! Can you PLEASE do a video like this for line. What types of line (Braid/Fluoro, Braid/Mono, Straight Fluoro, Straight Mono), sizes of line, for the various fishing techniques. From beginner (one or couple of rods) to advanced angler (several rod combos).

  8. I have 4 combos for the vast majority of my bass fishing!

Zenaq Blackart Spirado, Biwa Spec. 7’2” Heavy paired with a Daiwa Zillion tw hd

Megabass Destroyer P5 Madbull, with a Daiwa Zillion SV TW

Megbass Destroyer P5 Cyclone paired with a Shimano Aldeberan DC

and a Zenaq Blackart Spirado s0 Wide Shooter 7’ Light+ paired with a Shimano Vanquish c2500sxg

What do you think? Have you ever used a Zenaq rod?

  9. It would be cool to see an extension of this idea where you try to build an arsenal that could TRULY do everything, whatever that number might be…8, 10, etc. As few rods as possible but enough to sincerely cover all techniques.
