Tim’s BIGGEST Florida Bass EVER! Flipping Heavy Cover!

We got a break in the weather and the giants are coming out to play! Come along for an awesome day on the water and watch Tim pull a GIANT bass out of the thick stuff! We’re on a brand new lake in Florida but it doesn’t take long to get bit. Tim’s first bite is a BEAST!

Its amazing what happens when the air temps rise a few degrees! We’re exploring a new fishery and have no idea what to expect. Since its been cold we start out with the flipping sticks and it doesn’t take long for Tim to set the hook on an almost 9 lb bass. After the excitement subsides we start moving around and exploring more of the fishery, catching fish on the senko and ultimately weedless swimbait.

While we know very little about the actual lake we’re on, the bass fishing concepts still apply. By adapting to the changing conditions we were able to catch a giant bass as well as build a pattern to get consistent bites. All of the baits we used in today’s video are linked in the description below. We’ve included the specific hooks, colors, etc… where applicable, as well as the rods and reels necessary to get these fish out of heavy cover.

  1. Putting the hammer down! Giant Tim! Junk fishing can be fun. I do it alot out of the Kayak. When you have to paddle, you do a lot of fishing what you have in front of you. Winter in Mass, I go digging through your oldies but goodies. LoL

  2. Y’all should do a series where you help anglers catch a Pb or their first double digit or something it would be really cool to watch. I grew up in MD and our state record is just over 10 and was caught in a private farm pond lol I’ve never seen a bass over 6 in person. We’re a striper state :/

  3. I like how when someone’s hooked up the other guy reels in gets the bet nets the fish and keeps fishing no bullshit absolutely perfect

  4. Yall should make a video explaining fishing heavy wooden cover. Not heavy cover grass or mats. Some people might think it's the same kind of fishing but in my opinion it's a little different.

  5. Gambler, Fl. baits for Fl. fish. As you said in one of your last vids Fl. is a little different then anywhere else. What body of water were you on? And thanks so much for you open and honest teaching style, you guys are the best of the best.

  6. I’ve caught a few big Florida largemouth. Like that 9 pounder, took like 13 seconds to land it. I will take my hard-fighting northern smallies anytime!

  7. Entertaining video, nice when you can go to areas your not familiar with a catch fish! Here's a Pro tip when catching big fish like that first hog, it's best to weight it while it's still in the net, reduce possible injury on trophy fish while practicing cpr.

  8. You guys must be on Headwaters Lake. It’s like an amusement park of Bass Fishing. I’ve never caught so many bass in one day; my PB as well. Love that place!

  9. Florida puts me in a state of confusion probably cause a 20 hour drive south from the 216 and I’m in the spawn in February
All I can say is Golden shiners match the hatch
I watched guides when I was vacationing in my boat and took notes from the great American fisherman Roland (he owned a bait shop on the big O) and applied it to other Florida lakes for successful trips
Plus being a total different fishery causes that disorientation
That water color is a factor also, is that coffee or tea, whatever it is it’s better than the ice on Erie in February
Saw you’s on the Bog show video (MikyBallz)
Be safe, stay covered, and fish on

  10. I have to say you two are such a great team together and it’s great to see there’s no selfishness in either one’s game….. ✊ Nice Florida Hawg, and the days of 10-12lb Bass have diminished over the past few years, and grass kills, and fishing pressure has its price.🍀🎣🍀

  11. Great video as usual guys! Awesome big fish Tim! I'm digging y'alls gloves. Looked in video description but they weren't linked?! Thanks for all the amazing, informative, entertaining videos! Best bass fishing channel on YouTube. Hands down 💯🙌🎣
