Good info! Iโm guilty of just grabbing a rod and tying something on and chucking it without really paying attention to the rods action etc
Go South Eastern. Would got with the tip water over the glide bait when fishing Lake Murray
Great video!!!! Thanks for the tips on what rods to have on board. Question: What rod/reel combo would you suggest for the 6" Chop Block? Thanks for any help!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!๐ค ๐
I really like EE always have. But one thing that absolutely drives me up the wall and EVERYONE does it. There is no such thing as a medium action rod or heavy action rod. There is heavy, medium ect. power but actions come in extra fast, fast, moderate fast ect. actions. Get it right!
Just got a new rod to join my lineup…
Lew's signature series 7'6 mark rose swim bait 7'6 medium heavy casting Loving it.

Thanks Edwin. I agree, but actually like lighter equipment to increase the fun. A very fond memory is catching an 11#6oz catch fish on a 4โ ultra, ultralight rod and 4# test line dead sticking over the side of the boat. You can imagine why I always have a light rod dangling that way. God Bless!
7'4 H. Frog, swimbait, swimjig, flipping. Instead of 7'6. Then a top water rod.
Thank you Edwin for the video. Thanks to watching your videos over the years I have all the rods covered and then some. God bless. ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐
I get people that ask me that all the time. I always send them to your Channel and tell them to watch your 5 rod/reel set ups! Get it straight from Edwin!
Very good video. It all depends on how and what you like to fish. Multipurpose Rods is the way to go if you only have five.
Proven, efficient, and deadly. Appreciate you breaking it down
Solid wisdom here. Appreciate you using your platform to help othersโGodโs been good to you, Edwin.
I like your take on this – the variable 5th rod makes so much sense.
I have a 611 ugly stik spinning combo and a 711 bait caster
Need a frog rod for sure
Number 3 and 5. Fontana lake. Man thanks you for sharing this information with all of us you do such a good job again thank you
#5- agreed, got to be a 6โ8โ-6-10โ Medium for Jerkbait, 3โ swimbait, Choppo 75/90, and small squarebill/Fritts. The Abu Winch 6โ10โ is my favorite rod. Bummed theyโre being dropped.

I need to buy a couple more rods and reels lol. I only have three of the five. Thanks for the suggestions.

I have two of the five
Thanks for sharing, I have all the set ups you discussed. You talked about these set ups so years ago and I made sure I put them is my inventory. Keep up the great work.
