The key to success this evening was understanding bass’ movements during the post spawn. With no history to rely on the guys looked at the map, chose a couple likely locations, and immediately began catching fish. They used a two-part approach, mixing a spy bait in with a variety of swimbaits. Post spawn fish tend to be aggressive, they want to feed, and this mix of reaction baits was the perfect option to catch these bass.

Heck of a drive to go fishing! Heck of a bunch of beautiful small mouth. A 4-7 and 5+, are you kidding us? You guys are living the good life. Thing about it, y'all worked hard to get where you are and took a gutsy chance to move your and your families to Tennessee in the middle of your lifes. I usually always throw 10lb braid to a 10lb leader for all my spinning rods. How much of a difference does it really make to switch to a 5lb-8lb fluorocarbon leader?
