Well, we were actually trying for trout but Smallmouth Bass provided plenty of action!
Great to be back on the water! Recently I had took a moto ride to the Upper Enterprise Reservoir in Southwestern Utah and marveled at all the water that had returned and filled both the Upper and Lower Res. Naturally I had to return with Jen and drop the boat to see what was up with the fishing, I hadn’t fished this body of water since 2020…three years ago.
According to the latest DNR report, the Upper Enterprise Reservoir had not been stocked since 2022 and now, being mid May of 2023 I was curious if anything was still swimming around in there. It wasn’t long before we got into the Smallies and Jen thinks she missed a trout (or two) so there are fish in there! Trolling small shad like lures did the trick for both of us and Jen stayed busy with a Rapala Shad Rap #5…the Smallies couldn’t get enough of that!
