  1. I respect your fishing knowledge but…I'm listening to someone who has personally overfished a lake , complain how it's overfished. If not for tournament anglers maybe the rest of us could stand a chance at catching something from the bank.

  2. It’s sadly true. Fished it often growing up and invested in a boat dealership. Ran a Champion and Skeeter to death on Grand Lake. Love the lake and people however, all it offers now is a strong white bass spawn up stream. Elk was one of my favorite areas too.
Now I’m watching Table Rock fall.
    Over

  3. The elites are fishing smith lake in alabama big draw down lake the big bass live deep they will even spawn in 15ft of water. The ones that find the deep schools of large mouths will run away with this one everyone else will chase the suspended spots.

  4. You said let me know what you think we’ll this is what I think. Draw down.
It's all part of a “rule curve” mandated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and administered by the Grand River Dam Authority. Any lake that draws down like grand does the trophy bass will be very deep. Big bass have a fear of being trapped in a puddle during dropping water. So any lake that drops as much as grand the trophy bass will be deep 25 to 35 ft. And the great thing about it Randy they will be there in huge number I mean schools of 5lb bass that evidently no one has been catching. But go graph I guarantee they are there. And if you want I can look at a topo map and tell you where the biggest schools will be. Lake like this majority of shallow fish will be small but huge groups of big bass deep.

  5. I don’t know why they just don’t shorten up these tournament days I live in Texas now but I lived in California for all my life when I was in a club in the water temperature got over 80° in the summer we would weigh in at 11 o’clock and then go back out and weigh in at 3 o’clock when I fished team tournaments for years we weigh in at 1 o’clock only six hours that’s what fish and game would allow. What do you think about shortening up the days do you think that would help?

  6. If you could trust folks, a move to the MLF format of releasing fish is the way to go. I agree that fish are harmed from a several hour livewell ride. Randy…we have got to find a positive approach to creating change. In my opinion, the constant negativity will not create a positive change. Thanks for all that you do.

  7. I know all about Grand as I live here and have fished tourns. here for 25 yrs until that tourn. when Edwin won on the upper Elk. We had been catching fall top water fish up there in late season championships for years. After that tourn. the boat traffic was unbelievable year around, Elk river was over for a good while and still hasn't fully recovered and never will. The amount of vanity and lack of professionalism that came from the new breed of "tournament angler" around that time and before also did me in as I honestly just can't stand people who always put themselves first. Yelling matches on Grand became common and 5 tourns on the same day also was to much so I just gave it up.Concerning ffs you might want to do a show on the forgotten fisherman who only fishes 10 times a year on lakes and how he will not be very happy when his usual yearly planned successful fishing trips are not so successful anymore cause there aren't any normal patterns and less fish in the lake in the coming future, let's remember, 80% of permits purchased are from people who will never own ffs, I owned one for awhile and it made me sick at how it dehumanizes people, even me. They want us to believe it's hard to use and will not make any consernable diff., this is total BS cause it's very easy to use and understand,. If it wasn't easy fisherman wouldn't be buying them, we are not known to be Brain Surgeons, but we are known to brag on how many and how big our catches are and I'm not talking about our dating life.

  8. When you're done watching Randy burp up misinformation and ill-conceived fisheries management strategies, as he has done for several videos now, go straight to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation website and search for "2022 Bass Rule Changes". Watch the YouTube video that pops up … the one narrated by the ODWC professional begging for you to keep small bass. Compare Randy's bass-hugger theories on never keeping bass with what the game professionals (that he constantly criticizes) are telling you. "Harvest is one of the key components to growing quality bass, and that's just all there is to it", is something you'll hear as you watch. If you blindly subscribe to Randy's epic dumb advice, try not to cry as you watch. If you believe in science, take a break from negative fantasy land and watch.

  9. I’ve been saying this ever since I started watching your channel … unregulated, out of control tournament growth over the last 40 years is responsible for destroying fisheries all over the country by a factor of of 10 when compared to other factors like FFS which has only been around for 2 years. Looking forward to you starting a ‘FFS crusade “ against tournament growth in 2024 although you’ll have a tough time getting folks to take you seriously as a life long tournament fisherman…

  10. Tournaments have more impact on fisheries than forward facing sonar. Our Ohio lakes are stocked with saugeye, muskie but no bass. There are tournaments almost every weekend on Rocky Fork. Get off of bashing FFS and realize you tournament fisherman are the main problem.

  11. If tourneys kill bass, then they destroy fisheries. If not, you crazy. Secondly, you are a tourney fisher. You are a hypocrite just like you are an electronic user bashing FFS. Actions speak louder than words. This is why I hate you. You say one thing, then do another bc it fits you. In this case, you complain about your lakes for this. Cmon. Have you seen what happened in fish-eating states? No one (YT guru) is prmoting CNR or respect for all fish.

  12. These kinda videos I’ll never understand. You talking about how bad it is but you’re a tournament angler yourself, this is the one topic you talk about that makes zero sense

  13. It's decimated because now 90% of anglers are now watching you tube and know to throw mega bass jerk baits and not to use anything but straight florocarbon line on their fishing reels , and exactly what the hottest colors are, among all the top secrets , I can't believe pros are sharing with us.
