MY #1 TOP BAIT for Bass Fishing in APRIL! (Spring Bass Fishing) #topbait #aprilbaits #springbaits #springbassfishing
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE
Only ever wacky rigged sideways with great results in ponds/lakes around here. I've never even considered going lengthwise, but may try it out.
Howdy bro I’ve done both but I think parallel to the bait makes it a little more weedless and gives you a better hook up in the upper pallet. Clear o rings or black ones from HD or L more sizes to pick from also. Peace and God Bless
Mustard Finacky hook is great to use as well…
It's been fun keeping up with you during the different stages. You have been helping my fantasy teams. I like to rig mine perpendicular to the worm without an o ring. I feel I get better hooksets than using the o ring and having the hook parallel to the worm. I appreciate what you do.
Hook it both ways.
Good to see you added the D Shad. Great bait and the soft jerk bait is a favorite way to catch them anytime of the year.
VMC crossover rings come in two colors. Clear and green pumpkin. Have 2 options of hooking. You showed both! Wacky or Neko! Saves worms or bulk packs…Try it. Confidence is everything!#RippinLipsInc
I like to rig mine with the hook perpendicular to the senko with the hook point coming out the top. I look at the senko, there is a very slight curvature in the senko, hook the bait with the legs facing down. I use either an Owner 5172P-126 in camo green or a Sasori with a weed guard. With the Baby bass color tied on take a black sharpie and mark the first 1/4 inch of the tail. There are so many ways to trick out a senko
Tight lines!
VMC Crossover ring is the only way to go!!!
Wacky band across the worm through the egg sack. Sometimes with a 1/16 nail weight one the end with the tip sticking out to tap bottom.
Yes I've been fishing today they are getting set up to do during their beds they are getting ready to scroll up all in groups Bass
I wake my stick worms sideways
Iraqi reggae in the middle read a rubber rubber tube and it does work for it does work from there for bass
I only rig my wacky hook inline when I want to Neko Rig with a nail weight in the head. I feel the hook up ratio is much better with a traditional from the side wacky hook presentation.
I do mine thru the side. I don’t know why, but I imagine them approaching the bait head on and that puts the hook in a great position?
Can you do a video on how you work your flukes looks like you drag them on top
Definitely rig mine the second way. Douglas is an extremely pressured lake from now until October basically, and I seem to get a few extra bites rigging it thru the worm with no o-ring
My favorite bait and rig of all time. The wacky rig just plain gets um. I have been using the VMC crossover rings so that I can run my hook across the bait instead of with the bait. I have always felt my hookup ratio was better that way, but I ran the hook with the bait when I used O rings before the crossovers came out. I actually prefer to hook right to the bait, but I go through to many worms that way.
The fluke is always tied on and I almost always have a double fluke setup and ready for when I find a bait ball that they are picking off. Can't tell you how many double hookups I have had with that rig. Great video Matt, thanks for sharing.
