  1. I like it too! Love the way your create and think out loud. Really is instructive for those of us that havent tackled a build like that. Thanks for sharing.

  2. When you were wrapping that gray marabou, it started to look like a matted cat, but I knew it was going to turn out beautifully, and it did. You tye some very nice baits. Be blessed. My friend.

  3. Jf…..after looking at this jig, I wonder if incorporating sone monkey milk silicone skirt material right behind the head. I might try this on my next large preacher jig. It would and flare to near the neck. The blade hangs down far enough where I don't think the silicone would interfere. Just a thought.

  4. Although you don't tie smaller jigs for bass and crappie, I still pick up a lot of ideas and techniques from you. I tie a huge preacher jig for fishing off shore humps in Guntereville Lake and it is very simular to this one. Mine is 1.25 ounces and about 9.5 inches long. I don't get many bites but when I do, it is normally a really good fish. One of biggest bass I ha e caught on Lake Guntersville was on a large profile bait similar to this one. Great job JF….really enjoyed this session. Thanks for sharing.
