This day was a nasty cold fall day but the fishing and scenery was amazing!
Got to test out the @MinnKotaMotors Terrova motor on the front of my @OldTownCanoeKayak PDL 12o Pro. After getting used to it i found it super easy and helpful when battling the wind and covering water comfortably. The @MuleFishing BlueGrass Bug was getting bite after bite.

That's some great drone footage and the colors are amazing. Not exactly ideal conditions but you were able to use the motor to hold and pick off a few bass. Love the choices inside and out of the cove….catching bass so let's see if the bluegill and panfish are there. Reminds me of me, trying to figure it out. Changing the speed of your retrieve was a good lesson. I think a bunch of anglers miss the subtle clues. Hope the new Minn Kota serves you well brother. Blessings

That was the first trolling I had that had spot lock it was the 24-80 and loved it but I upgraded to the Ultrex 36-112 if it’s wanting to upgrade to a 36 volt I would be still using it today, never had one problem with it after 4 years and as soon as I got my Ultrex had to send it in for repairs in the first month it after that I haven’t had a problem with it
The Lord sure paints a pretty picture in the fall time. Love the video! Bet that motor made a difference. Can do a lot more fishing without having to paddle around! Beautiful scenery. Love it brother.

I had a windy chilly day bank fishing the river yesterday. The flow is like 1/4 normal and the water is gin clear. And there are 8,000,000 leaves on the water.
I spent 2 hours walking about 100 yards up and downstream trying to figure out the correct angle to not only drift to where I knew the fish were at but also get to the bottom AND not get my line fouled up with floating leaves.
Eventually figured out a combo and fished until I did not get another bite in that hole. 27 smallies and 4 pike.
It was glorious.

Hello, I have been following you for some time now. I have noticed the progression of the kayaks that you have used. I am 72 years old with replaced shoulders. I have become interested in trying to fish in a kayak. I live in Oregon near Cleveland rapids on the Umpqua river. There is a calm stretch with some decent bass fishing during the summer months. I am a top water addict loving how it feels when they blow up on the Whopper plopper. I am looking for advice on going the direction of a kayak. Foldable? Power?
I don't know why, but murky deep lakes scare me, especially when its raining.
The best part of a bow mount motor is you can now stand and fish. That’s the BIG advantage for a bow mount verse pretty much having to sit most of the time. The increase in casting , flipping, and hook setting is huge. Spotlock is a good feature, but the standing part is the deal.
Having spot lock is a game changer it’s worth every penny. Thanks for sharing John what an incredible place to be able to fish, the scenery was amazing. Keep up the great work tight lines as always. 👊🏻💯🙏

Great video John that kayak setup will probably be great for in tournaments so that you can just ease down a creek or even down the side of a river and fish
Spot lock is a game changer IMO. I fished many years without it, but I can say I've probably doubled my fish catching rate since having spot lock. You will be happy to have that after catching a fish to keep you in position so you don't get blown away, but wait till you find a school of fish and use spot lock to your advantage to stay on that school catching many more fish than you would've expected. I will never fish without spot lock again if I can help it, it's amazing!
