that's a really cool hook can think of a lot of places that work well. almost have to use a chiller bag for those cameras when it gets hot. i have the same problem.

I watched a 12 year old kid catch a 4 pounder with same set up last week outside the local lakefront it really works!
Unfortunately we don’t have bass in germany so I ask my self if all those bass techniques I see also apply to perch. What you think ?

Man, that's not a very good incentive.
It's similar to fly tying balanced leeches which imitates leeches, minnows, bugs slow falling horizontally.
I'm just surprised no one in bass tournament setting uses flies/hair jig tied balanced styled.
This is kindof just a variation of a tube jig hook.
I like the core tackle hover rig as well. I used a similar technique last year using a vmc crossover ring on a Yamamoto d Shad and Neko rigging it with a 1/0 hook and a 1/32 oz or 1/16 oz nail weight. Works great as well!
