Caught a bass about this size back in the 90s from Criccieth (N. Wales). There is a rock that sticks up from the sea bed about 80 yards out at low tide to the left of the castle. Never weighed the fish (put back) but looks nearly the same size.Haven't been back and not fit enough to do it now, but am sure some sizeable fish must still be there. Actually found the spot by snorkelling around the castle area and saw a number of smaller rocks on the sand/shingle seabed that were sheltering good fish. Strangely, hear very little about fishing in the Criccieth area. Greta video, big fan
I walk down that beach front everyday and night with my dog, i live 2 mins from there….never seen anyone pull a bass that size from there…never. well done.
