In this video, my dad and I are fishing at a local city pond, and we are throwing topwater lures to try to catch some monster spring bass! We end up finding a few good fish, and then dad finds an absolute monster!!!

Caught a 5.5lber out of a small pond off the side of the road last weekend. Best fish I've had in a while, crazy I pulled it out of a pond since I mainly fish lakes.
What lb line do you use for bass because I feel like I would need pretty strong line to pull them out of weeds and stuff. But I just want to know what I’m you use.

If you ever come to Corpus Christi I could show you some great bank access fishing . I think you would really like a Sheepshead trip. Ive gotten really good at catching them the pst 2 years. Live fiddler crabs are the trick. Still takes lot of skill due to the way they bite.

correct me if i’m wrong but doesn’t their personality change from chasing and feeding to defensive mode? when a male and female are both on bed guarding their fry, they won’t chase bait to feed. they’ll get aggressive if you piss them off enough. they’ll grab your bait and swim off with it and drop it off somewhere.
I've been fishing top water for about two weeks and can not get a hit. It is kind of surprising to me because the ice is only 6 inches thick. Yuk yuk. Nice to see your dad having fun.
