Flipping and pitching for bass is one of the best ways to catch shallow water fish. However there are many mistakes a lot of anglers make with a flip stick.

Several months back I watched one of your videos where you had mentioned Sportsman's Outfitters. I pretty much buy all of my fishing gear there now. Cheapest place I've bought from! Next purchase I make I'll definitely click on the link from one of your videos.
Great tips thank you
honesty is great
This has nothing to do with your excellent video… but do you use your phone to film?
A really good informative video and from my personal experience you have made some very good points all of which I agree with. You should add the hookset to that. A snap hookset hardly moves the fish from that cover you need to really lean into the fish to move his head and head him in the right direction also clean your hands!! I have lost many fish from oily hands when putting on a new bait.
I flip laydowns with a 1 oz allot
Sadly I've tried lightening my weight so there's less splash an slower rate of fall but sadly lose alot of distance
Oops I meant to say flipping. I don't flip well I said I pitch well then I don't doesn't make sense maybe I should work on writing instead

I pitch pretty well an cast well. My pitching needs work, sadly sometimes the line shoots straight up an smashes back down on the water. It's probably flipping too hard an letting line go alittle too late. When warmer weather comes back I'll work more on all my techniques more for sure. I know also alot of lures I need work on executing the action. Jerkbaits, Texas rigs Carolina rigs underspins, chatterbait square bill. Sadly it's alot, but its only my 3rd back after not being able fish for several years due to circumstances. Hopefully after a few more years I'll be a more skilled fisherman
A great one!
Great Bass Fishing Technique On Things I Just Didn't Know !!! Anxious to try these New (To Me) Technique's!!!
I challenge any youtube bass angler or bass angler in general to set the hook without grunting. there should be a hook set compilation. ugh ugh ugh ughhh ughhmmmm grrgfff ff ohhhhhh pb pb pb ermagerd ermagerd pb pb lol
These guys and their damn boats. How many people actually fish with boats? Rich dudes.
The saw theory with braided line is an old notion that people still cling to , most braids now are made nice and smooth and doesn't hang any more than filament line, it's just not true , fishing braid to leader is way more sensitive and durable than fishing straight mono or fluorocarbon lines and less finicky on your reel, and easier to pick backlashes
Growing up, also in Ohio, thats ALL we threw rubber wise was tubes. Now my go to rubber is zoomUV speed craws, love em
If I know I'm going to be flipping for a significant amount of time, I turn off my electronics. Don't need them. Adds extra noise.
It's all marketing, same as all the infinite looney color combos. Most fools buy all 18 different jig and shakey heads too. They just sold you 18x the tackle. Congrats dummies.
Your videos are SUPER helpful. Too often anglers are hustling and trying to sell things to you in their videos, but you're straight to the point and everything you've said makes perfect sense and matches my real-life experiences !!!
Little known fact, flipping and pitching are 2 very different techniques. Few people know what flipping actually is.
Hey it up purple Pearl colored beaver in the thumbnail what is it and where did you get it is that a reaction innovations beaver? Yamamoto used to make that color they still do and they're sanko they used to make it in a cowboy but you can't get them anymore I love that purple pearl color thanks man.
Awesome content!! Are you from Texas?
Heres a massive tip. If you arent flipping INTO cover do NOT peg your texas rig. It kills the action in open water. You want that weight to slide and hit bottom first. Letting the bait float down more naturally. the majority of your bites will come on the fall or just after you hop it for a reason. Use as light of a weight as possible as well.
Man, I fish out of a kayak… and being stealthy is one of the main things. when i come to a flipping stretch, I turn my sonar on sleep mode, i don't use the motor, i use the pedal drive and i pedal very slowly. etc.
that swing at 1:10 made me smile
Great tips. I have used braid quite a bit when our lakes flood and there is a lot of buck brush in the water. Fish will get in them or behind them. The branches are small and fluorocarbon has too much stretch for it but braid will break the branches when you hook a fish. I agree 100% with using fluorocarbon around more solid wood though
Great video! F/P may be my favorite technique… you nailed it with the combat analogy. Nothing like fighting a big bass out of nasty cover!
Thanks Ty. I learned alot from this. I'm new to flippin & pitchin.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing
Sounded like “Most of the time, it doesn’t matter what you flippin pitch” lol

Another sick video I am so hyped for our bass fishing season starting in 3 weeks here in
we still have ice over our water eh can’t wait for the trout and bass season eh tabernac. We will be up to our tits in bass this season eh!
Solid advice, that braid will cut into wood and its a wrap
This is a technique that I must master we only have thick cover in the summer but I know there's fish in There
Ty is so good at his craft. Him fishing is always great to watch and learn from but his production abilities and video format for making things very understandable are some of the best on YouTube.
Excellent~
Dang, you make a hard set on your fish! LOL
If you want to learn watch Tyler. I learn something every video
