I decided to travel to the Ridley Creek in Pennsylvania to fish for Smallmouth Bass & Largemouth Bass. I primarily used the Nikko Hellgrammite and caught a few smallmouth, a largemouth & a ton of rock bass.

I grew up on this creek during the 70's into the early 80's before I left DelCo. There are some nice holes between Chester park and Media. Alot of private property and dogs would keep me on the creek bed. As a kid, I'd caught species that I couldn't identify. Bein" closer to the Delaware, sport catching monster carp was a way to pass a Saturday afternoon away. Thx. for the videos.

Today, my youngest brother Jeremiah went fishing at Ridley Creek with Mommy. They caught 2 trout. We had some of the trout for dinner and it was so delicious 😋. Jeremiah gutted, washed, seasoned, and deep-fried, the fish 🐟. He may only be 13 years old, but he is such a good cook. He is the family chef.
We call that lure a rooster tail in New Jersey.
This time of year, outside the natural streams where they reproduce, are you finding any trout? I'm in Chester County and struggle to find them after July.

Def trying to make it out for more trips on the creek in August. It’s really sad what happened past Dutton Mill with the gas spill. Been hearing all kinds of sad things regarding the wildlife and the fish from people that live around there.
