I love parrot cichlids they’re so cute
Picking up fish with your hands, damages fish's slime coat. The oils in our hands actually burns them. I have seen fish with algal infections in the shape of a person's hand, as fungus is able to cause an infections cos their slime coat gets compromised. If you must pick up a fish, use a clean wet rag that hasn't been washed in detergent. That you have rinsed out well.
