Big Bass on Toledo Bend

Mickey and I are fishing Toledo Bend in this video. We’re fishing during the peak of the largemouth bass spawn!

So many big bass are moving to the shallows to make babies! We caught 4 outta our 5 bass limit looking at them. I had a few more smaller fish that I caught on this day but decided not to include them in the video.

I caught all of my bed fish using an Xcite Raptor Tail Jr in the crawdad color. That is one of my favorite colors for sight fishing. The bass will flat out eat it!

I caught the other big bass on an inline swimbait. She was either on a deep bed and I pulled it right over her bed or she was up shallow looking to pair up with a male.

We fished between hosuen and six mile. I didn’t see any hydrillia but finally starting to see some hay grass come back. Hopefully parks and wildlife will leave the grass alone this year. They’ve been spraying it like crazy over the past 5 years.
