Jordan Lee went three for three on scoring the Berkley Big Bass bonus with a 6-pound, 7-ounce smallmouth in the early afternoon for five bass weighing 24-9. That catch solidified his position at the top of SCORETRACKER® going into the Championship Round with a 1-7 lead over second-place angler Alton Jones. Jr.
Meanwhile, the names at the Toro Cut Line were constantly shuffling and the day ended with Terry Scroggins, John Hunter and Justin Lucas tied with 21-4. Scroggins placed ninth thanks to a 5-0 smallmouth at the end of the day and Hunter narrowly made the cut with his 4-9 over Lucas’ 4-6.
Stage Six action continues Wednesday with the Top 10 anglers competing for the title during the Championship Round on the MLFNOW! live stream at MajorLeagueFishing.com, the free MLF app or MyOutdoorTV.com at 7:45 a.m. ET.
I really wish MLF would go back to the original format that they were built on. I watched every single minute of every tournament when they were using the every fish counts rule, but I haven’t made it thru a third period in any round of a tournament since they changed. It is worse than watching grass grow, and it is sad that they gave up on what made them different. I’m sure there are those that disagree, and I respect their opinions, but I am losing interest very quickly in what had become my favorite sport to watch.
