It's probably going to sound dumb but I've been using these round bill crank baits from Walmart and having a lot of luck. They look like a standard square bill till they hit something and then they change direction… HARD. Doesn't seem to matter the color. At $2.14 each, I don't mind losing them 🤣
We saw something like this last year on heavy hitters at Bussey Brake. Alton Jones Jr made an adjustment and started throwing a spinnerbait when everyone else was flipping and pitching. Blew them out of the water after that!

Tyler its crazy watching your videos man being from Ohio I fish exactly like you. Our lakes in northeast Ohio are extremely pressured and Im always trying to throw what I think other anglers arnt throwing.
When everyone is throwing a chatter bait then throw a hybrid hunter instead and when everyone is throwing whopper ploppers then throw wake baits instead
Makes sense! There’s a lake near me where everyone uses whopper ploppers, and they work, but not too well. I switched to a popper and absolutely slayed them.

With the popularity of the chatterbait, this is why I throw a spinnerbait often times.
When you started this format with a few strong videos I thought there no way you'd be able to keep up the quality on a daily basis. Dude, have you proved me wrong. These videos, plus the scientific studies and lake breaks on HQ, are so much more valuable than another "top five lures of the month" and similar stuff from every other creator. Thank you!

I use to bass fish heavy now I trout/steelhead/salmon fish but, when I use to bass fish I would run all types of stuff over the same area. Buzz bait, rapala, spinners, poppers, frogs and worms. Buzz bait was always my goto as well as rapala’s. I use to keep a lot of tackle, now I just enjoy minimalist fishing.

Downsize or supersize lures is a thing. Use a smaller or larger version of the lure you "think" everyone else is using. But you'll know quickly if your lure isn't work. And it's time to make a change.
