Them baits are awesome for anything that eats minnows ! Live between Seneca , Cayuga , Keuka lakes and your 100% right there hot baits in the finger lakes .
they have these here https://www.fishusa.com/Megabass-Hazedong-Shad?quantity=1&custcol_is_variable_line_amount=F&custcol_taxproductclass_vt=45&custcol_discountpretax_vt=F&L-Size1=453&L-Color1=14265&undefined=F&fragment=%2Fpurchases
My buddy made me the PERFECT heads for these. They're 3/16oz with NO lead barb; a tiny wire keeper instead. #1 black nickel hook, 50lb single strand fluoro weeedguad, painted ghost minnow w/big googly eyes! PERFECT!
3” hazedong on an okashira screw head….. deadly…
Expensive..but worth it..keep your super glue handy
Similar to 2.8 Easy shiner on guppy head or drop shot. Success with that pattern April to October in Idaho. I think it's time to try this bait.
nice marketing there's lots of better swimbaits out there these are ok.
Love it on a dropshot rig, another way to rig it that rocks smallmouth especially if you have goby fish, is rig it on a finesse football jig like a Keitech finesse football jig, thing absolutely looks amazing and gets smashed
been using those small hazedong shads for few years. They definitely get it. awesome in ponds too!!
Check to see if there are filters for your camera. That’s what you need.
The hazedong is no joke, I've had some of my best pre spawn days on them. Can't wait to rip smallies on the great lakes with it soon
Love your channel.
Brush up on your great lakes.
I was gonna buy some Megabass Hazedong Shad, on Baitwrx, but they're sold out.
I keep hearing good things about this bait. I bought some in the light green with flake and got skunked on it. Think I’m going to try clear next time
Im here cuz i enjoy what you share not for your production quality, i go to Johnny's channel for that lol
Diminutive, had to look that up. Leave it to Randy to expand my vocabulary and fishing knowledge.
The 5” spark shad on a wobble head is a great technique, just reeling it along the bottom. It has really produced for me over the years in the summer
Caught a nice fat spot on one of these today, paired with a 3/16 round head jig. I'm a believer!
Us old school fisherman remember the Sassy Shad. Even older remember the advertisement in the back of Field & Stream about the miracle secret banned in many states little lure that was guaranteed to catch anything that swims. I think that that was the original swimbait.
To help with the “lighting”, i would start by wiping your lens cleans. (Not with your finger). Looks smudged. Also, not having the camera facing up at the lights. Maybe raise your camera up and try to get it more level with you.
Do a video about fizzing a fish
Knew from the pic this was a vid bout my favorite finesse swimbait. The 3” hazedong on a 16th oz jig head is like handing yourself fish, when I bass fish with friends or family who don’t know much, I hand them that and let them go to town. Catches big ones as well
Randy thanks for making all these videos. I watch a lot of other guys with high production, and while i do like those vids, some of it just seems “put on” if you know what i mean. I really appreciate your humility in your videos and hope you don’t change your style!! Thanks!!
Been using the spark Shad 3” with gold 1/0 owner flashy swimmer slow rollin over rocks and what not. Been killing it when bite slows down.
Cool lil swimbait,looks deadly
I use the hazedong Shad on a “fish head” 3/16oz standup under spin on Chickamauga and it absolutely smashes them! Like Randy said though gotta be pretty clear water.
I had 200 fish days 6 times on a bare hook. YouTube channel coming soon. Stay tuned.
For Georgian Bay smallies, I love this bait on a swing head, dragging and bouncing as I swim it over a hard bottom situation. Thanks for the videos, Randy.
I drop shop with the 3 inch. I smash them here in Michigan with it
Looks realistic
Man don't worry about lighting, sound or razzle dazzle none of that stuff has ever helped us catch more fish. Haven't missed a single video yet and i think your viewers are watching too learn!!!
Someone tell me these aren't six bucks each…
Got my PB smallie on that on a Nedrig
I love the hazedong! Especially on a dropshot amd Tokyo rig
Love fishing this on a drop shot. It killed it for me this last winter when nothing else would.
how tf? 100 in a day. i probably caught 100 since i started fishing a few years ago
Many thanks Randy! Megabass has some great lures. Do you have any tips on improving the durability of these? I have found after three or four hits they get worn out.
Hazedong shad is by far my favorite swim bait in the game. Megabass makes premium swimbaits
Randy, Don't apologize for a thing, the lighting is fine. All of the hater's are simply jealous of you and your success.
What are your thoughts on fishing the small hazdog (sp?) in shallow rivers, maybe a 1/16 jig head?
Nice. Wish Megabass would make a 3/16 Okashira & Screwhead jighead.
Randy if you could clear your throat before you start the video's it would be appreciated. Your killin me smalls.. lol.. thanks bud. We do what we can.
You’re giving away our secret bait Randy
. I use this and the 4” both. I use them on weighted EWG hooks and they work great. I do use a ball head or the mega on the 3” but the 4” I always use a weighted EWG and man o’ man! They are great for smallmouth without a doubt. Great video, Randy!
