These giant striped bass eat a tremendous amount of food to maintain their size. A large swimbait is an easy snack to these predators and the perfect lure to fool them. These fish don’t reach these sizes by making mistakes but its hard for them to pass on a big swimbait.

Great video. Lure fishing for stripers is my favorite tecnique but on this day I was using a live mackerel for bait hoping for a 40 plus inch striper when I hooked a great white shark while fishing from my kayak. Part of my video was recently used on the Discovery Channel episode called The Great White North. Toss me a subscription if you like, I only need a couple more to get 1000 🙂 Cheers
They have a lot of power a blast to catch had 2 on a umbrella rig tore the swivel and jig off one stem the other middle Stem had a 8 lb fish. So these strippers are not that big but still a blast

Looks like the Lower Sac or Feather. Should have bonked it. That predator has probably eaten hundreds of endangered steelhead and salmon.

Just watching some of your old videos. I caught a striper in my hone lake it was massive I got it on video. Video doesn’t do it justice check it out on my channel. I was in shock and didn’t weight because of water temps and I didn’t want to kill. It swam away strong
He has broken lines is that how you tell hybrid and striper apart. That would be world record hybrid
