Fishing the $2 Ozark Trail 2.5″ topwater frog from Walmart. This frog is a bargain compared to other brands but will it catch fish? How’s the action? Does it even float? Lets tie it on, hop in the kayak, and find out!

I'm a total newbie with fishing, im from NYC trying to learn really late lol. You're the first person ive seen fish in the beginning with just the lure and nothing else? Is that an effective way to fish? Thank you
Fish are dumb. They’ll eat anything.
I think you def got your moneys worth on that frog. Good job.
I wish it was still $2 at my Walmart
Great I saw these just the other day at my Walmart . Hesitated on purchase but I be doing that thing soon.
I have one of those, but I've never tried it. Now I know.
Lol This may be a crazy question but I'm extremely new to bass fishing and fishing in general. This seems like a nice channel to ask. This is wild bass not stocked correct? Or is this stocked?
yea the green one you used and the white and black one both catch the hell out of them. but you have to squeeze the water out of it more often
You could cast a piece of wood with hooks on it and fish would bite.
You need to try the choppo 90 it’s so good

I used that exact frog. A couple tips, bend the hooks out 1/4 inch each side for more catches (I see you mentioned that)
I also like to throw a few BB’s inside the body to create a rattle effect when using it as a jerk bait
Last thing is superglue it’s mouth shut if you don’t want to squeeze water out of it every cast.
Wait to set the hook, a good 2-3 seconds after the bite
Thanks for the video! I may try throwing it tomorrow, great for Largemouth and Pike fishing in Maine
Your the reason I bought a kayak haha it’s so fun thank you
Dude sounds like Bob Ross
Nice fishing, great job. You are legend.
I’ve used this frog quite a bit actually lol, fishin for pike at a small creek by my old house. Caught I’d say around 15 or 20 good pike on these frogs
watching this is so chill i wanna go alone on boat and fish
I've had a lot of success with some of the cheap "Cotton Cordell" brand crank baits they sell at Walmart. I've caught many large and small mouth bass on them. And at less than $3 each they're a great bargain compared to the higher priced name brands.
Couple questions I want to ask. Where do you fish at mostly and what kind of kayak do you have?
That’s awesome! I’ve been wanting to try too water frogs, but they want 10-12$ for them now I’m gonna go by a few! Thanks man, this is definitely worth a sub!
The sassy tail splashes when you release them 😂
i dont even fish but youre videos are calming so i watch anyways keep up the work work
I never had luck with it.
Pomroy lake brook park mn?
Oh yes, Bass love frog baits. Best one I had was one i got for 50 cents in northern Ontario. I caught more smallies and than I could count with that thing. It did surprisingly well with pike in northern Alberta as well.
I been telling people FOREVER that this frog is crazy good
The first fish he caught he reeled it in like it was a shark lol
If the fish is hungry and ready to eat something, practically anything will work. Nice video
What a cool place to fish!
i love this guy
