  1. Thanks for the video & your honesty (talking about lures new to you & reading the beach, etc.). One tip, about lures and Stripers … SIZE matters and more often than not, smaller is better. This creates a challenge when surf spinning because ballistically one gets distance with larger heavier lures. So think about dropper rigs with swimming plugs. Put a saltwater fly or soft bait on ahead of the casting plug. Swim that rig. Fish are competitive & elephants eat peanuts. 🥜 They’ll eat the small minnow or Sand eel in front of the hard bait. Just a thought on your Striper strategies.

  2. Hi Adam, have you tried the Yo-Zuri Hydro Monster Shot lures? Heard they are the most versatile and longest casting Yo-Zuri lures to date. Just ordered a bunch from Discount Tackle to use for surf and pier fishing.

  3. DHF, I think, they should revise the tournament rule from catching the biggest fish to catching the combined overall measured in length fish caught. This prevents a fisherman catching a lunker from winning even he just spent very short time fishing. Nice try though. There's always next year.

  4. Thank you for such great video’s with a wonderful description of the lures line etc that you’re using BUT I wish you could take the time to quickly describe the rod and reel you’re using. I researched a bit and I think your surf outfit tossing the lures is a Daiwa 4000 with a Shimano convergence 10 ft med action surf rod?
Which seem to handle all the striped bass your hooking efficiently. Is that a correct call if not would love to know the rod you’re using. Thanks

  5. Adam ! Adam ! Adam ! What''s with the "DIE HARD" Labeled rod in this video? Some keen viewers pay attention to every detail! A custom gift or are you testing out your new rod???? I prefer composite grips over cork. Composite may be more weighty but are likely more durable. Please explain about the ROD!!!
