You Won’t Believe How Many Bass Are Hiding in This Overgrown Pond!

I finally made it back to this fishing pond after 4 long months, and WOW – it was a wild day bass fishing! 🌿💪 Overgrown cattails, tons of hydrilla, and some serious pond maintenance made this one of the most challenging fishing trips but rewarding fishing trips yet. I had to clear paths just to cast, but it all paid off with multiple bites from bass, including some really solid bass! 🎣

We battled through thick weeds, slow-rolled chatterbaits, threw swim jigs, and even caught largemouth bass popping out of hydrilla patches. This is a perfect example of how hard work on the water pays off – and the bass don’t disappoint. Whether you’re into bank fishing, pond fishing, or exploring overgrown spots, this video has it all.

💥 Tackle Used:

Chatterbaits with paddle tails
Swim jigs for hydrilla patches
DeWalt for clearing casting lanes 😉

  1. Putting in some work, Sir! Swim jigs are deadly. Haven't tied on a chatterbait in a while… might be time. It's been tough fishing this week. Normally chatch 10+ but struggling to get 3 or 4. They are transitioning and I haven't dialed it in yet. The fall bite is coming! Great Video!
