MY PROFILE:

I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors.  I  have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!

  1. I'm 2 minutes in and this already gets a thumbs up 👍

I stopped subscribing to mags because of this generic approach to fishing education. How many years in a row can you reinvent the same seasonal concepts in a new and fresh way when in reality it is much more complex (and we all know it cause we experience it).

This is why I am a monthly subscriber to Todd's private channel. He is able to be the fishing buddy I never had growing up and pass along his wisdom & knowledge. Granted I wish I had this access 30 years ago, but I am thankful I can participate now!

Keep passing on the truth & knowledge Todd! God bless!!!

  2. Todd , this video is so true. The analogy is just like an environmentalist trying to discuss climate change and missing the target everytime because you can not predict every environmental impact that occurs. Same with people watching YouTube videos on various seasonal bass presentations. You just can't take it to heart that the technique some Dude is using in a highly vegetated lake in Florida is going to work on a Reservoir Lake in NC where you have nothing but a clay bottom. Now with that said you can still experiment and use these videos as guidelines, but don't expect them to work because the lakes you fish on are environmentally and constructed differently then the YouTube videos your watching 9 times out of 10. I'm glad someone finally pointed this out. Great video and keep up the great work.👍🤩

  3. These hummies are watching to much Jacob wheeler videos hahaha!! But what i like about you bro your so relatable to me and my fishing partner here in SE Texas, real talk you fish lakes we do a lot and these lakes are top in the country where your intel is way better than a lot of dudes that dont fish these elite lakes just cause the catch numbers and sizes are way below us here so you do you your no bullshit!! Your dead on with the lakes we fishing in Texas. It comes down using what you know at the start of the event but being able to adapt and pivot, the fish here from day to day can be a no live scope day to live scope only.. I wish these dudes would say what region they in and not just generalize its the same all over the country it misleads a lot of new anglers and folks wanting to get a legal edge and that is why we follow you pros.. but great take man God bless when your out there ripping mane

  4. 💯 facts!! Great video! Its crazy how lakes miles apart that set up the same yet fish totally different. To the point that you literally have to change all the rods on the deck of your boat from one lake to the other!

  5. Great content. First starting out I watched every top 5 baits for fall winter spring summer. Fast forward 5/6 years I agree that every lake or pond has its own personality that contradicts what is considered the norm. I move faster in the winter than the summer. I spend 10-15 minutes in an area with a crank in fall – winter vs 20-25 minutes in spring – summer. It’s 5 minutes with three different colored cranks and keep moving until I get that first bite.
