We are out on Lake Guntersville looking for the winning tournament pattern. Main lures are soft plastic worms, hover rigs, Texas Rig, big swimbaits, and a little crawfish trick we are going to test. But it may be a total scam – only way to see is do an experiment and see if giant bass like it.

Dude thank you!! Thank you for talking bass fishing and not some political crap!! We get enough of that from all angles nowadays but true roots brother so thank you!! 💪🏻
EDIT!! Sportsman's Outfitters
Finally got a Halo 7'-2" MH KSII Elite thanks to a deal from Sportsman's Supermarket! Should have bought a couple more for the price.
how bout some night derbys mikey?🎣🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳
i use a 5/0 VMC Drop Dead Weighted hook for that set up
it's very kind of you to share all of your insight on how you go about pre fishing. with the millions of choices out there for what to tie on to try to fool that lunker, explaining why you chose those few baits helps us fishing for fun guys hopefully catch a few more. best wishes this weekend. think you got this although sharing your testing on you tube before the tournament might not be the best idea. if they are suspended on game day might want to try a massive swim bait for a few casts warming up the spots.
Good luck buddy
This used to be in my top 3-4 Youtube fishing channels, but this year it's definitely cemented itself at #1. This channel never gets stale like some others. Always entertaining, always informative. Keep up the great content Mr. Balzz! OnWisconsin!
Mickey, When do you think you will be going back down to Lake Placid to catch those monster bass?
What up space Balzz crew! We should definitely start a podcast called pissy face and butthurt just talking about all the what ifs and I almost had this one 😂! I really dig this one man, love just trying something out of the zone! Tight lines fam🎣
Core Tackle makes a hover rig with a weed guard. Good shit. Crack em good in the derb Mr. Balzz!
I love dragging a creature or something like a brush hog or pit boss. They're not just for pitching! It's one of the few ways they're eating it right now.
Mikey , try the 8" Deps Sakamata Shad . It's a thicker body than the 7" Fluke , I throw it on an 8/0 unweighted Owner Beast hook as it will last a lot longer verses throwing it on an 8/0 EWG. They also make a heavy weight version which I also own but for whatever reason haven't thrown it yet. You will be pleasantly surprised how many bites it gets where I'm at in SW Michigan , I can only imagine the pigs you might catch throwing it at Southern largemouth.
Need a lil more orange on that flukes belly
Almost to 100,000 Mikey!!! LFG!!!! Keep grinding!! 👙👙🎣🎣
The vmc drop dead hooks with the screw lock are perfect for that weighted mag fluke rig. Check em out. They are made for exactly what you're doing
Best of luck on the derby. I myself find your videos the best. You simplify techniques and make it easier for people to actually try something new. I really appreciate the videos.
8/0 flashy swimmer, but cut off the underspin.
Do well bro, I have faith.
You are the man
Try dragging crawfish plastic with some blue in with the orange… Trust me.
Best of luck and have fun!!
try the VMC Drop Dead hook 5/0. has the widest gap for a 5/0, medium gauge wire so you can use with braid or flouro. works awesome on the Mag fluke or mag speed worm

All the best Mikey….Interesting "color" tip THANKS
