Low water and low temperature does it mean bad for the fish?
the x heavy rod is why she missed those fish , you want your rod to load up then reel down and set hook , i figured this out when i started fishing chatterbaits too , i like to use a medium heavy with chatterbait and bigger swimbaits and a med for the smaller swimbait and smaller underspin swimbaits , just my opinion and experianse
I liked this video because you showed the two different baits and the kind of action you got with each in the exact same conditions. However I wish that you guys would talk more about how you "fish" the baits that you use. How you manipulate the bait in various conditions, both reeling action and pole action. You have introduced me to a lot of new baits and they all look really cool but I have no idea how to use them to catch fish. So as you are fishing if you could talk more about the how the when and the where of the fishing you are doing I would appreciate it.

Great Video guys. I am new to your channel and love how you fish together. I wish my wife would fish with me more often! Just a tip here but the rod power is probably a little too heavy to fish those baits IMO. I use a 7' Moderate heavy for chatterbaits. It allows the fish to get the bait in its mouth due to the softer tip but also has plenty of backbone to rip the bait out of grass. With swim baits I use a 7'4" MH with a great soft tip. Same deal here, the tip allows the fish to get the bait and I do not rip it out of its mouth. I use a MH because I usually texas rig the baits and want to be able to drive the hook home so I use a MH Fast. I plan on going back and watching all your videos….although I am scared to death of snakes….don't know how you do it!

As I said before, Jay is too kind when it comes to direct competition with Cole… I saw the subtle twitch of her rod tip, pulling the lure out of the mouth of the bass as it struck… I'm sure she wanted to wait another 100 milliseconds to hook the striker, but that would have been a cinch win… She edged you out as it was, so it remains: Jay's kindness is a virtue…! ;P

Slow rolling a Chatter bait is my go to bait in dirty water. Swimm dinger when water is clean.
I'm confused! Chatter bait? Why is it called that? I was thinking u meant like a rattle bait, but u were using a jig with a plastic body. Jay needs to stop her retrieve every now and then to let it sink an inch or two then begin retrieving again to give the lure a bit of a different motion.
