December can be a tough time to catch bass. When bass wont bite, this is a great option to try. These baits were all the rage when they first arrived in the States. Soon every company was making one, but this is the original and no company made a better one.

That donโt look at all like the bait in the thumbnail
I have been trying the gravity baits for few years now. I like the Deps but here I have to order them and they are expensive but still I fish them deep and around rock like you talked about. I like the Yamamoto yamatuniki for hopping off bottom and letting glide back to bottom. That little tail has a wiggle that they love. I love the Missile baits Bomba for skipping and smallmouth on a spinning rod or lighter bait caster. There are a few others that I am trying but so far no true stand outs yet.
January 3rd is the full moon and they call it the Wolf Moon ๐!
Love the ๐ฉ baits the cover scat is responsible for some of my bigger fish over the last 3 seasons. In Japan they fish it really deep on Lake Biwa, cast it out let it sink to the bottom and drag it back very very slow. You would be surprised on how many giants this bait is responsible for. Thanks for another great video Sean really enjoyed this one. Have a great new yearโs tight lines as Always. ๐๐ป๐ฏ๐
a great secret bait that no one fishes anymore after the hype
Haymakers for the win
I use those all the time for Small Mouth on a drop shot!
Just wondering if you have ever used it on Perch.?
Guess I need to get those poop baits back on the boat lol , btw have you tried the slender scat? its like a heavy senko , sinks fast and can fish it very similarly to the cover scat
…and those haymakers are awesome!
Thanks Sean! Another great video! I have kinda subconsciously placed scat baits in the gimmick category, and have thusly not yet tried them out. With as slow going as it's been I'm figuring why not give it a shot. Digging through the cat box now, but can't find a winner, so just gonna run to Coyote and pick some up. Thanks again Sean!
That Haymaker hook is the deal! I went to it when swimming a worm! Havenโt lost a fish since!
Another great hook I use on these is the Trokar tube hook, they really work well with Cover Scat
Another great tip and video Sean!๐๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป. Iโm really liking the TW Black Blu Green Pumpkin Laminate color. 3.5. And on sale! ๐๐ป๐๐ป
I take skirt strands and put them through the bulb end of those cover scat and they destroy them.
thanks, Sean! I did not think about using these in the winter, but it makes perfect sense. Great imitation of a craw without pinchers, which bass love. I will have to give it a shot very soon.!
Sean I came into a ton of brand new Berkley dredger crankbaits what's your personal opinion of this crankbait.
