KVD'S Win in Pittsburgh, Super tough fishing, However Super Entertaining..My Favorite Classic
I remember when the 1981 Classic was won by Stanley Mitchell, who was 21 years old at the time! Wow!
I just looked it up, and he won the tournament with a 3-day catch of… the envelope, please… 35 pounds, 2 ounces!!! "Them's were the days!"
The Generous invite to the 2019 Bass Master Classic in Knoxville, to meet you in person Steve, it’s a memory that myself & Dan will never forget !!!#GetUrFishOn2025
The 1994 Bryan Kerchal win will never be surpassed! I fished with Bryan the week before on Lake Hopatcong in NJ and nobody was less surprised than me. The second most special Classic was Brandon Palaniuk blowing his Kerchal fish whistle when he finished 3rd in his first Classic as the Federation National Champion!
Several, KVD all 4, Randy Howell, but 1991 Ken Cook, very nice guy, on a tidal water.
My favorite is when Bryan Kerchal won. With a red shad Culprit worm. Loved the way he put them in the boat. Rest his soul.
Hearing the hometown crowd go crazy for hometown hero Casey Ashley back in 2015 was special!
Hands down Takahiro, the way we won last few minutes and his reaction to me tops them all.
1993 David Frits won the first year he qualified while still fishing the Red Man Tournament
What about Bryan kerschell
Rick clunn was asked once at a classic who the best was there
Rick replied the best isn't here he can't afford to be here lol so true
You forgot the memory when they kept the classic a secret, flew the anglers in, anglers had only one small tackle box
Those were the classics the new ones of buying way points and practicing for months are dumb go back to show up and get it on see who the best is not who has the most money
To many , but liked Hank Parker,Skeet Resse, Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon
2003 classic Mike Iaconelli The Never Give up moment was born!
Ike changed the game, ike had great influence on the local scene. #theiaconelliaffect
NJ has a great Bass club presence and great tournament trails wich Ike still fishes to this day!
Ike is the only angler to have won the national championship, classic, angler of the year and and elite win.
Hard to beat Ike's "That's the winning fish" and "Never give up!" in Venice in 2003.
I liked the old ones where they were loaded on a plane and shipped to an unknown lake. The early days were the best . Bobby Murray won at lake Mead in 1971. Grand prize was 10 grand. Roland Martin, Tom Mann Bill Dance were some of the stars. Roland had the big bass.
1) Hank Parker telling Ray, quit messing with him and weigh the fish. 2) Tak, as stated earlier. I Knew it! 3) Randy Howell turning around and people on the bridge.
My most memrable classic was being there when Bryan Kerchal won on High Rock Lake in 1994. I felt like if an amature could win then maybe that could be me. It was also equally sad going back the next year and speaking with his father at the 1995 classic after Bryan's tragic death.
Chris lane w his pow pow him and Bobby get so fired up
Mine is KVD puttin the black back chartreuse body 1.5 in the hands of literally every angler for the following like 5 years lol
The 1994 Classic in Greensboro, NC with Beyan Herchal winning. The most memorable was the fallowing year withe unmanned boat honoring Bryan. It still brings tears.
Mine was Howell, and Cherry winning
It's going to be the first one I attended, the 50th Anniversary Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham. Hanging out at the Classic Expo and Watching Hank Cherry win it…

1994 Bryan Kerchal. First Federation Winner.
"I KNEW IT!"
Bryan kerchal
Takahiro
2014 Classic where Randy Howell came from 11th place on the final day and won it. That was an amazing story.
1989. Hibdon wins by one ounce when Dalton Bobo brings in a dead fish. ONE ounce. Crazy.
