In my 56 years of bass fishing * I never really threw a shaky head?? I mean a texas rig with a 1/8 ounce sinker pegged is realy the same Deal ? Zoom Trick worm is #1 !!
Randy, your 100%right on hooks, chanel, and flro. Pre spawn, I fish 3baits, Shakey head, spinnerbait, and chatterbait. 1st gonna be Shakey head, around cover, mostly bridge pillings, I fish rivers mostly., so that's why. But if you catch 1on Shakey head, I don't put it down. Catch them cast after cast. I have a lot spots, where I fish. Screw heads are junk!!!
I am always confused when you refer to a 6’11” Whipsnake as a medium action rod. MB and TWhs label it as a light rod. I bought one per your rec and it says light. Please explain. Thk U.
I love shakey head fishing. I got a bunch of Zoom finesse and trick worm colors. I use Buckeye spot removers in 1/8th usually.
I've asked you several times When you skin hook your worm on the side how does it not just spin on the retrieve back causing major line twist

Shakey head is NOT what it's called. It's been a jighead worm for over 60 years in Arkansas. Old creme scoundrel in one of three colors… clear blue, purple, and motor oil green. This is what started it all on Lake Ouachita. Mark Davis let the cat out of the bag when he started in the BASS Invitationals in the 80's. In the late 90's some chotch-eyed fool called it a "shakey-head". 🤦♂️

I don't care if you call it action or power. It's more than simple to infer which one your meaning. Most folks crying about it probably don't have a very firm grasp on it themselves. Outside of the rod building world, they are often used almost interchangeably. Great info. As always, thank u
Randy I fished tournaments in the 80’s and 90’s, then dropped out to fish saltwater for 20 years. I’m coming back to the bass for fun but so much has changed. I’m not ever going to be an FFS guy because I’m nearly 80 and can’t adapt to the new technology. Also, it’s just too pricey. It would be great to see a video reviewing what baits NOT to buy when FFS is not available. There are so many more bait options today than over 40 years ago and it is difficult for us to know what baits are really designed only for those new Live-screen graphs. Thanks very much.
