I fish the canal system in Naples, FL, from a canoe. It’s a canal I’ve never fished before but I’ve driven by it for 16 years and never seen a soul fishing there ! It’s got to be good! I’m going to start off with two of my favorites, the 5 inch 297 green pumpkin Senko and a Spro Pop 80 top water! Hang on to your hat , this could really be good or it could be a bust!

Roland thanks for the great idea of putting the trolling motor on the front of canoe, why didn’t I think of that about 30 years ago. Always ran mine with me sitting in front seat turned around. Did the install in about 30 min. Including turning the motors head 180. Can’t wait to go try it out. I’ve got a few big bass spotted that require a canoe to get to them. Thanks again Roland

Roland, good fishing a gar is a freshwater billfish, and you caught bass,my biggest bass ever came from a golf course pond in Little River, SC. In the MB area many ponds and canals. Bass is fun to catch.
