  1. On hot seasons , I match my retrieve speed with the speed of the currents , wether it's a bit faster or slower than the currents until i get a bite , so from there we'll know what the fish wants for the day. While during wet seasons , i'll slow it down with steady retrieve , if it still doesn't get any response…. I change tactics , that's hop, pause and let it sits for 2,3, or 4 seconds… keep doing it until i get a bite. That all seems to work for me, sorry for bad grammar , have a wonderful day , mate.

  2. i am not a total “novice” angler, grew up fishing with my dad, but definitely a not-highly-experienced angler either, and just restarted fishing again recently. Cool video! I have been wondering about this. Ok now how about a similar type video comparing different types of lure tale actions using same hook? paddletail vs wedge vs straight fluke vs split fluke vs grub or wirly tail? lol… they all catch fish! And yet I still wonder, why? how? Anyways I understand that would be a much larger production time so no worries if yall never do it. Or maybe they already did?

  3. @Salt Strong Do you have any tips for putting the Zman plastics on the screw lock swimbait hook? I can never get them to go on screw locks… the plastic just twists around instead of the screw actually going in.

  4. I fish the Ohio River right into the flood gates releasing water.
Watchung this reminds me I should use paddle tails vs flukes due to the action while the turbulence throws the bait around.
That said, in a wide gate with ? A few thousand GPS boiling through, would you recommend the slower tail or the faster ?
And, I've tried Carolina with the egg sinker above the swivel and with the sinker at the jig head. Which sinker placement would you prefer? Thanks!

  5. Great demo Tony. Could you do an update video where we can see how heavier weighted hook changes the action of the lure? The pool videos are a great way for novice anglers like myself to get an idea on how to retrieve the lures. Keep up the great work. Glad to be a part of the insider team as well.
