Decided to check out the ponds in Fremont this weekend! Hit up Shinn Pond and Grau Pond! It’s so crazy that the ecosystems of both these ponds are so vastly different but they’re literally right next to each other! One is a rocky ditch and the other mud bottom covered in so much different vegetation! The bass were on beds in Grau in unreachable spots and the bass in Shinn Pond were chasing suspended bait over deep water! I still was able to get on the fish lurking deep water near shallow for craws! With the water so clear it was super necessary to use natural colored baits, so I went with the obvious go-to.. Green Pumpkin! Caught them on the Sleeper Craw and pitching jig! Tight lines y’all, everyday is a great day to go bass fishing.
