4100 fishermen have signed up.
I would tie the hair down first in the opposite direction then fold over like your making a wing case. Would make for a more sturdy jig.
grate vid learned a lot
I need more information on using marabou for bass jigs. I want to make them so they flair and so they move from the current while setting on the bottom. I've tied some in the past but when I put them in the water they close up and don't flair, help
Ok, first of all, way to COMPLETELY ignore what I said earlier. Looks like your afraid to try it…:). Anyway, when tying flies on a size 28 or 26, which is ridiculously small, you actually do need an expensive vise, so no, it is, in fly tying, necessary. It is also nice to have a rotary vise for tying, it just makes things easier. Fly tying came around WAY before lure making, or this " Hair Jig" making. Why don't you look up some of the people I talked about before, be open to new things……
You are actually correct , tying bass jigs is a knock off , a knock off the cost of being able to enjoy the very rewarding way of catching a fish with lures created by the angler himself, yet by knocking off the ridiculous price that fly anglers do the same thing .
In the clip the point is proven enough without the need to drive the point further
(1:34 – 2:01 )
It was a joke to your poke at bass jig as a knock off of fly tying . I was introduced to fishing by way of fly fishing . My opinion of it is as I stated it , the fine art of angling . Anyone who knows and honest will admit , the cost to fly fish without going high end to do so, is ridiculously over priced .
If you get mid range hip waders , boots , jacket/vest, hat, decent fly reel and rod, spooled ,net . . .etc. Fly fishing is an art , the art of doing so is priceless but to do so is pricey .
Ok, so I respect your opinion, but it is just wrong. There are plenty of poor ass fly fishermen. Trust me. If your saying that fly fishing is only for show, that is also wrong, it is often the most fun and effective way to catch fish, weather it be trout, bass, or any other species. Look up " Fly Fishing The Ozarks " Or " Kelly Gallloup " Or " George Daniel " the tell me if you still think its a snobby sport. Maybe you could try it out, it is the most fun and rewarding form of fishing!
C'mon man , you come on a video clip titled Tying Hair Jigs For Bass Fishing not Fly tying and start shout'n Fly Tying Knock OFF!
I'll be the first to say fly fishing is the fine art of angling but its for the eat a candy bar , putting it on a plate and placing an ironed napkin on your lap and eating it with a fork and knife guy. Likely to not use a toilet without a bidet , shunning the thought to use bathroom tissue , after relieving oneself .
C'mon man .
Fly Tying Knock OFF!! Fly Fishings where its at, top water explosions slinging frogs on floating line, yup sun.
alot of the stuff mentioned is out of stock at netcraft..
Thanks guys, This was very helpful!
I didn't catch the glue you used to secure the hair. I went to the website and it was not listed either. Great video.
