I fish for bass and pollock in the sea in the west of Ireland, I keep changing the lure different colours and action and size. Eventually I get the right lure. The colour of the water, whether its dull, bright or mediocre. But when I hit them, that's it. Other times they will take any thing that looks like food. But when they're finicky keep trying different lures. We fish off beaches and among rocks, savage gear surf seekers are really good when they are on a frenzy. I used a rapala max rap like a twitch lure and hit a bass, he broke the line. My own fault obviously the drag was too tight.
