In this video, I’m showing you a simple but effective glide bait modification that will help you fish deep water with confidence! If you’re using glide baits like the Bull Shad Trick Shad or other popular swimbaits, this tutorial will teach you how to tune and modify your bait to reach those deeper strike zones where the big bass are lurking.
I’ll break down the exact modifications I make, from adding weight to tweaking the bait’s action, so you can keep your glide bait in the strike zone longer. This technique is a game changer when targeting big bass in deep water during those tough conditions. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned angler, these tips will help you catch more fish and get the most out of your swimbaits.

How about cooking the strips with the heat gun?
Definitely need to get some bucca glides soon.
I hate it when my swimbaits go “janky”.
Golf club lead tape……used it since the 80's on Rapala and Rebel floating jerk baits…..Works on Glide baits…………So many different sizes (Strips or Roll Tape)……..you can even cut to size..Extremely cheap (Pennies)………Check out Temu
What gear ratio reel do you recommend for a Glide bait?
I’d bet Muskys would inhale those baits. It’s amazing that Bass nail them. But when you see the size of some of the Bass’s bellies you KNOW they eat well.
B-LYK-MIKEY"-IMHO!!!
Mile actually puts a tuning chamber in his baits. If you pull the pin there's a hole in the bait you can put lead in
Mik you are the man
Where did you get the trick shad from
I use 0.35 soldering wire it's soft enough I can cut it with my thumb nail or a pair of braid scissors.
I love the grenade weights.
