Elijah is getting big! Looking good that kid!
Have some in my box but haven't thrown one yet. Will give them a try next time out. Thanks.
My only problem with this bait is hook up ratio.
Thanks Randy! I just purchased numerous Dark Sleepers at BPS, Leeds AL last weekend while traveling.
Do you prefer the 1/4 or the 3/8 in the 2.4in?
I need a good bait for southwest Oklahoma lake that’s super clear and really heavy with milfoil and some raccoon tail. Been on the struggle bus for some time now. What would you recommend??
Thanks for the bait info and tutorial.
I wish it worked better than I live minnow. I’ve caught one small mouth on it all year.
Has anyone tried this type of lure in Central Fla lakes, Kississmee, Toho ect.?
What color is the one in the video and is that the color you would recommend? Or something else?
Hey Randy thanks for the info on what equipment to use for the dark sleeper. God bless you and your family. Sounds like a good lure for Stockton lake where I live in Fair Play Missouri.
Great video Randy and YES it is a great little lure. I have noticed with this bait the bass are intent on eating this bait. It is nearly always completely in the mouth. I fish the little one on a spinning rod but the larger sizes I use my jig rod and like you said I fish it much l like I would a jig.
Thanks for reminding me about these, have a few, been waiting to use them.
Wouldn’t the keel weighted megabass head fish the same way
First smallie I caught with it had it choked
Stump grabbers! 😂
I can't get bit using the lure. Fish Dardanelle and tried it on shell beds and points where I catch fish constantly on a shaky head and swing head. Guess maybe our water is too dirty for the lure to be productive?
The last time that I remember seeing your son was the infamous “itchy butt” cameo appearance 😂.
Tackle room is looking good. Maybe you could do a quick walk thru of it sometime.
That chartreuse tail one is the best for largemouth IMHO
Those would be flounder killers, especially with some scent added. The way you say to retrieve it is perfect for flatfish. But they're kinda expensive. I have a Sleeper Gill and it might be good too. I think I'll try it tomorrow from the kayak, we're going to a marsh and maybe it won't catch too much grass.
Randy it would be a hoot to take you fishin' in the salty water. A lot of your knowledge crosses over and you'd catch on immediately I believe. And I'd be honored to take you if you ever want to kayak the Chesapeake or fish the VA Beach surf or piers and inlets.
Haven’t been catching many bass lately but still catching bluegill deep on leeches. Been enjoying that Bridgeford/ sweet baby Ray jerky, my Kroger has it now good stuff👍
Sir Randall always great information
Your giving away my top catcher this year Randy!! But seriously i’ve been catching 60 to 100 Bass every weekend with this bait for the last month! you will also catch every other fish in the lake! love you videos randy i fish from a basic kayak with no electronics and you have helped me become a much better angler! Thank you
No it doesn’t.
The new rooms looking good.
My wife actually snagged the first Gobie I ever saw, I had no idea they were even there, it was in SouthHampton in Ontario Canada, she snagged it in the river.
I’m not doing something right? I have 3 different sizes , I caught a 2.6 smallmouth the very first cast I made with it and haven’t had another bite since?
The smallest size works great on BFS. A lot better than spinning gear.
Yeah but the tails pull off way to easy.
Especially around rocks too
Speckle trout like em too , I’ve done real good here on em
First comment!! 🙌🏽
Thanks Randy! Love the videos!
