  1. Thank you for this video!!! It's definitely a pet-peeve of mine, too, when I hear fisherman call cover structure! Also… great explanation of a lake turnover! Thank you for what you do!

  2. structure and cover yes has two meaning but is easily talked about in complete opposites its just part of it. turnover is different though it happens two times a year once in spring and once in fall. its when the water temps are the same temp throughout the lake more or less and the light wind can still push water down deep and make oxygen in the lake easily, once the water is changing temps throughout is when its harder for wind to replace oxygen till next turn over.. so it happens in spring and fall when the water temps are pretty much the same temperature. it effects places that freeze more because once a body of water freezes no more oxygen is going in the water till after it melts and wind can put more oxygen in it.

  3. Right on all statments. I was at Table Rock oct. 21st to 31, The lake was 71 degrees when I got there and 69.5 when I left thats not turn over temps. Oh and the fishing was the worst I ever had on that lake.

  4. The cooling surface water only sinks until it meets (or blends) into water of the same temperature.
Hypothetically, the best place to fish during an actual turnover is near a spring outflow where any sinking of surface water only ADDS OXYGEN to the existing water column.

  5. 😮 Your correct! Cover is a boat dock ! Here in pa our water is about 50° lots of heavy frost in the mornings! My boat cover last week was as stiff as a 16 year olds DOCK !!😅😅😅😅 IN THE AM ! PEACE <😮😮😮
