Movie truly is a beast I kept a Bass and a 55 gallon tank, fed her goldfish for about three years. Unfortunately we had a heat wave and the tank temperature change like 20° in one day and he got sick and then slowly died. I want to do a yard pond like you have in your backyard absolutely amazing.

So i caught a baby largemouth bass and he’s only about 1 inch and I’m not sure what I’m supposed to feed him. I have some frozen brine shrimp cubes which I’ll have to cut into quarters or smaller. He’s really active, but I can’t tell if he’s still exploring his new home or if he’s hungry. I have him in an aquarium with a bluegill about 8 inches long and the two seem to get along, despite the bluegill being there for almost 2 years and that the bass is 7 inches smaller than him. How big was Moby when you first caught him and why did you name him Moby? I’d really like to know.

I keep small bass from the wild often. However, I stick to only 1 bass at a time. The latest one I had is Shelby, but she passed away on Thanksgiving. Ever since, I have been trying to get a new one.

LOVE your shows. Tip for you. AlgaeFix. We built a 5,000 gallon Koi pond years ago. Algae was a problem. Finally found a product we could use that would not kill the Koi but did a fantastic job of keeping the algae under control. Another tip, consider planting a few Weeping Willow trees along the banks. However, after spending thousands of $$$ on the building of the pond plus the pumps, filters ,etc. all 34 of our Koi (some 24" long) were eaten by a River Otter over a period of 6 days. The littler monster came out of a wildlife refuge which was adjacent to the back of our lot. Gave up on the pond and cover it over. Sold the house and moved to the Golden Isles in Georgia for our retirement years. Good luck with your pond. DBHayes (Deb & Bill Hayes)
