I thought you were talking about sugar lake down in Mexico for being at one point the best. I live 15 min away from it, and its just sad what that lake has came to. Never in my life have I felt such anger and never wanting to go back and fish there. The commercial fishing has completely ruined the lake, because no mater where you go, there's fishing nets all over the lake. All you see is bottles floating where they have these things tied up to. Your propeler gets stuck on those things so often its annoying, no mater where you there's 20 of them surrounding you. Not only that but by 2-3 years I have a hard feeling that the fish ecology is going to be so bad. This lake used to be one of the best lakes in Mexico for bass fishing and now its such a horrible place because of non supervised commercial fishing.

Jon,you need to make a trip to the Indian River area of Michigan. There are two famous lakes there and the Michigan state record Smallmouth was taken from there a year or two ago. The Smallmouth weighed over 9 lbs
